# PortID SDK by Harboria Labs

**PortID** is a client-side SDK for a zero-knowledge, end-to-end encrypted, and decentralized user data sync system. It allows developers to easily add a secure, multi-device data architecture to their applications.

This SDK is the client-side library and requires a separately deployed **PortID Sync Server**.

## Features

* **Zero-Knowledge:** The server never has access to user passwords or unencrypted data.
* **End-to-End Encrypted (E2EE):** All user data is encrypted on the client device before being uploaded.
* **Decentralized Storage:** Uses IPFS for resilient, user-controlled data storage.

## Installation

Backup and Restore Workflows

Manual Backup: Encrypt and upload data via sdk.backup(data_dict) (extend as needed).
Restore: Use sdk.restore(recovery_key, password) to decrypt and reload data.
