Real testers for your app.
A listing that holds up.
Swap testing with other developers, get real users lined up before you launch, and check your listing against every store rule before you ship. Need Google Play's 12 testers for 14 days? That's built in too. Browse open listings

Top testers this month sample
Full leaderboard →| # | Tester | Their app | Tests | Store ratings |
|---|
Ranked by tests completed — each one confirmed by hand by the developer it helped, which is the only way a test counts here. Store ratings are a public fact about whatever that person shipped, read from the store as this page loads; nothing here rewards or asks for a review.
How it works
- 1 Test someone else's build Ask for a slot with a short pitch. The developer accepts or declines — closed testing is invitation-only on both stores anyway.
- 2 They confirm it helped You send private feedback. Only the listing's owner can mark it complete, and only that mints a token. Nobody credits themselves.
- 3 Spend it on your own app Tokens buy visibility for your listing — the placement a launch directory sells, except this one is earned.
Questions
Is this against App Store or Play Store rules?
No. Nobody here trades reviews, and closed testing is invitation-only on both stores anyway — AppMates just helps you find people to invite. Testers give private feedback on your build; whether anyone reviews your app afterward is between them and the store.
How long does it take to find testers?
It depends on how active the community is when you ask, but testing itself needs no extra waiting — closed testing is invite-only regardless of where you find testers, so nothing here slows down what a store already requires of you.
Is AppMates free?
Yes. You earn testing slots by testing other apps, not by paying — there is no fee to use the marketplace or the pre-flight checks. Promoted sidebar placement is currently free too; see the pricing note when you request a slot.
My app isn't live yet — can I still use this?
Yes. The listing checks work from an App Store id or bundle id alone, before you've shipped anything. For testing, you'll need a working build you can invite people to (a TestFlight or closed-testing link) — the marketplace just helps you find who to invite.
What are the coloured cards on the sides?
Promoted slots — a handful of apps featured down either side of this page, each linked straight to its store listing. Click an open slot to see current pricing and request one, in whatever colour you'd like your card to be.

Eight slots in the rails either side of every listing and tool page on the site, read by developers deciding what to ship and what to ship it with. If your app belongs in that stack, this is the shelf it gets picked from.

What a slot costs
$20/mo
Free
Free right now, and free for the whole month you're in — the rate never moves mid-run. After that, it's whatever the rate is that month, and it's always your call whether to keep the card.
- Right now Every open slot is free. No card, no trial, no contract.
- Once the site clears 10,000 visits a month $20/mo becomes the rate — for every slot renewing from that point on, not just new ones. You'll see it coming; the counter above is the same one we're watching.
- Every month after that You hear the rate before it applies to you, by email. Keep the card at that rate, or let it go and the slot opens back up — no card ever charged without you saying so.
Who sponsors here
Two kinds of sponsor do well on this page.
It's built, it's on the store, and nobody has heard of it yet. A fixed card beside every listing puts it in front of the people most likely to open it, try it properly, and tell you what's wrong with it.
Analytics, screenshot tooling, ASO, crash reporting, a backend. Self-serve, priced for one person's card, obviously useful in the first session. The people reading this page are the people who buy that.
Works best for: iOS and Android apps · developer tools · ASO and store assets · analytics · testing and QA services
The slots
Ten cards, five a side. The top card on each rail is one of ours and isn't for sale; the eight below them are. Every card links straight to the app's store listing.
Left rail
Right rail
How it works
About two minutes, end to end.
- Pick an open slot and tell us about your app App Store id or bundle id, a colour for the card, and a short pitch. We pull the name, icon and genre from the store ourselves.
- We read it by hand Usually the same day. If more people want a slot than there are slots, the pitch is what decides it.
- You're live Approved apps go straight into the rail, on every page of the site, and stay there until you ask us to take them down.
Why it works
A sponsor card isn't a banner nobody notices — here's what you're actually buying.
— page views a month, current pace — and every one of them can see your card.
Your card shows on the landing page and inside every view of the dashboard — not one placement, the whole site.
Every visitor who sees the rail or the tape sees your card — you're never one of several taking turns.
One click, no popup, no interstitial, and no third-party script slowing anything down.
Nothing open?
Leave your email and we'll write to you the next time a slot frees up.
Good to know
Every request is read by hand, usually the same day. An app doesn't get a slot if it isn't live on a store yet, if it's built to harvest data, if it's adult, or if the pitch and the store listing don't describe the same product — the same bar every listing on AppMates already clears.
A slot's rate is fixed for the month you're in; it never moves mid-run. Before the next month starts, if the rate is changing you hear about it by email first, and it's entirely your call — keep the card at the new rate, or step away and the slot goes back on the board for someone else. Nothing is ever charged without you saying yes.
Sponsorship buys the card, nothing past it. Your links carry
rel="sponsored noopener", and having a slot never moves your app
up the marketplace, never touches a listing's readiness score, and never
changes what a store-compliance check reports — a sponsor's app is graded on
exactly the same rules as anyone else's.
