More than a snapshot
Built-in exports and print-to-PDF give you snapshots — fine for a quick copy, but not made to be re-homed. A PDF flattens hierarchy, threads, versions, and comments; this capture keeps all of that intact.
Your own contributions, in context
Keep the discussions you were part of — everything you wrote, answered, or commented on, each with its full surrounding chain: the whole forum thread, the whole blog entry with every comment, never an isolated snippet. Name yourself in the “Only content authored by” field when you set up a capture and the sweep keeps just what you authored or took part in — matched on your name, user id, or contributor credit.
Archives
Open a captured archive in the Reader, or remove old captures.
Drop a folder or a .zip here — from your file manager,
from OneDrive or SharePoint, or a link to one — and it opens in the Reader. It does not
have to live in this folder, and nothing is copied when it is already on this machine.

Use a different date
An earlier date re-checks more, never less. Leave it alone and the date comes from this archive's own last capture.
Items deleted on the live system stay in the archive: this is an archive, not a mirror. Nothing already captured is removed, and nothing is duplicated — a re-captured item replaces its own earlier copy.

Settings
Edit the non-secret defaults used by new ingests. Credentials remain in the configured environment and are never stored here.
Ingest defaults
PDF appearance
Sizes and colours used when rendering a PDF. Leave a field empty to keep the default shown in it. For anything not listed, connections-export style --dump writes the whole stylesheet out to edit.
Header and footer
Placeholders: {page}, {pages}, {title}, {date}, {section} — anything else is literal text. Empty means nothing is printed there. {section} names the wiki, blog or forum and the page you are on; where that cannot be known it falls back to the document title.
Archives
Type a path, or drag a folder onto this field. It must already exist — nothing is created here, so a typo cannot turn into an empty archives directory.
CONNECTIONS_EXPORT_ARCHIVES_DIR environment variable (use . for the current directory). Defaults to ./connections-export-archives if unset.
