OPENJYOTISH PRIMER, CHAPTER 10: SYNTHESIS — READING A WHOLE CHART
======================================================================
Original synthesis by the OpenJyotish contributors (AGPL-3.0, like the
program). Every fact below was established in Chapters 1–9 or computed
live on the reference chart (1990-01-15, 17:30 IST, Bangalore); the
synthesis judgments are weighed readings of those fixed facts, stated
as judgment calls rather than computations.

1. THE ORDER OF ANALYSIS
------------------------
Read every chart in the same order, never skipping steps:

1. Lagna and Moon (temperament and mind — Chapter 1).
2. Planets by dignity (who is strong — Chapters 1, 4).
3. Houses and their lords (which life areas are equipped — Ch 1, 4).
4. Yogas present (which combinations operate — Chapter 3).
5. Afflictions and cancellations (what fights back — Chapter 6).
6. Mahadasha/antardasha now running (what time it is — Chapter 2).
7. Transits now passing (what knocks — Chapter 5).
8. Strengths cross-check (Shadbala, Vimsopaka, Bhava, SAV — Ch 4, 5).
9. Remedies matched to weakness (Chapter 8).
10. Compatibility only when asked, doshas first (Chapter 9).

Skipping ahead causes every classic error: yogas without dashas
promise timelessly, transits without natal context alarm falsely,
remedies without weakness waste money.

2. FULL WORKED READING
----------------------
Gemini lagna (lord Mercury in Sagittarius H7): self-definition through
partnership and debate; adaptive fire. Moon in Leo H3 (Purva Phalguni):
mind seeking recognition, Venus-colored emotions. Mars in Scorpio H6
(own sign): conflict won, accidents watched. Jupiter in Gemini H1
(Ardra): self-placed wisdom with unconventional edge. Sun and Venus in
Capricorn H8: identity and love through crises, research, other
people's resources. Saturn in Sagittarius H7: partnership demands
discipline.

Strengths: Saturn strongest (520.8 virupas), Mercury weakest (319.4,
below its minimum of 7 rupas) — intellect needs support although
Mercury rules the lagna. Houses H1/H8 tie at 203. Mars and Saturn lead
Vimsopaka at 13/20.

Yogas operating: Saturn's Dhana (9th lord in 7th), Mars's Viparita
(own 6th), Mercury–Jupiter parivartana (the strong Raja Yoga),
five Viparita pairs, Anapha/Vosi flanks.

Afflictions: Kuja from Moon, weakened by own-sign Mars — managed
intensity, no full dosha. Saturn in Pisces is 8th from natal Leo:
Dhaiya pressure, not Sade Sati.

Time: Rahu Mahadasha 2017-05-15 → 2035-05-16 — ambition, foreignness,
unconventional rise; currently inside Rahu–Mercury (2025-04-27 →
2027-11-14), the intellectual-commercial antardasha. September 2026
transits give supported luminaries and starved outer planets: act
through visibility and routine.

Synthesis judgment: a debater's chart — lagna lord and Jupiter both
angular and exchanged, Mercury weak but placed in partnership:
influence through argument, teaching and counsel, provided the native
borrows discipline (Saturn, strongest planet) to compensate the weak
Mercury. Wealth through partnership (Dhana) timed by Saturn periods;
health watched in Mars periods; marriage workable with the managed
Kuja noted above. Remedies in priority order: Emerald-path support
for Mercury (gem only by scholar's sanction), Mars mantra on Tuesdays,
Saturn service throughout Dhaiya.

3. WHAT NEVER TO PREDICT
------------------------
No death timing, no marital doom from single factors, no medical
diagnosis, no financial guarantees, no exact-event certainties. Give
periods and tendencies with the engine's dates, mark judgment calls as
judgment calls, and say plainly when factors conflict instead of
forcing a verdict. Reputation lost here is never recovered — this
program's verification note exists so that every checkable claim in an
AI-assisted reading survives an astrologer's inspection.

4. THE BOOK AS A WHOLE
----------------------
Chapters 1–2: the alphabet (planets, signs, houses, stars, time).
Chapters 3–6: combinations, strengths, transits, afflictions. Chapters
7–9: election, remediation, matching. Chapter 10: the method binding
them. The Guru answers from these pages plus the classics; the engine
computes beneath them; the verifier stands guard over both. That is the
complete OpenJyotish reading discipline in ten chapters.
