drillion (this repository) is MIT licensed — see LICENSE.

89 of the 267 tasks under `tasks/` are adapted from Exercism's Python track:
the problem each one poses is theirs, restated in drillion's own words. Each
of those 89 files names its origin in a `source:` frontmatter field and closes
with an "Adapted from exercism/python — MIT" line; run
`grep -rl '^source: exercism' tasks/*/README.md` to list them.

That content is drawn from:

Both are MIT licensed:

This file reproduces that copyright and permission notice so it travels with
the repository, as MIT requires for a substantial portion of borrowed work.
It does not replace the per-file `source:` field and attribution footer on
each of the 89 tasks — those stay as the finer-grained record of exactly what
came from where.

Several tasks under `tasks/` adapt reference implementations from the example
code for *Fluent Python, 2nd ed.*, all of them about the object model. Those
sources carry no problem statements, so the code is theirs and every word of
the task is drillion's, the opposite way round from the Exercism tasks above.
Each names its origin in `source:` and closes with an "Adapted from
fluentpython/example-code-2e — MIT" line; run
`grep -rl '^source: fluentpython' tasks/*/README.md` to list them.

Six tasks — about graphs, dynamic programming, sorting and searching — adapt
reference implementations from TheAlgorithms/Python. That repository carries no
problem statements either, so again the algorithm is theirs and the task is
drillion's. Each names its origin in `source:` and closes with an "Adapted from
TheAlgorithms/Python — MIT" line; run
`grep -rl '^source: TheAlgorithms' tasks/*/README.md` to list them.

One further task, `187_job_spacing`, restates a problem from MBPP (Mostly
Basic Python Problems), published by Google Research at
https://github.com/google-research/google-research/tree/master/mbpp under
CC-BY-4.0. It carries the same `source:` field and a closing attribution line.
