::explanation FQ-NOT-IN-V
A footnote quotation, e.g. \f …\fq Son of Man\ft …\f*, refers to a text segment Son of Man inside the verse text.
This section lists cases where a footnote quotation such as Son of Man does not occur in the verse text.
Possible reasons:

The footnote quotation or the verse text are not spelled correctly.

The footnote quotation should be a footnote keyword (\fk …) instead.

The footnote quotation should be marked as italic (\it …\it*) or similar instead.

The footnote quotation covers the wrong part of the footnote.

The footnote quotation contains extra punctuation etc.

Color codes:

Red marks the text of the footnote quotation.

Green marks text at the beginning of the footnote that also occurs in the verse.

Purple marks text at the end of the footnote that also occurs in the verse.

Blue marks text of maximal length text anywhere in the footnote that also occurs in the verse.

::explanation FQ-STAR
The latest USFM standards recommend not to use \fq* to mark the end of a footnote quotation.
Instead, the end of a footnote quotation should be marked by another footnote section (e.g. \ft, \fk) or the end of the entire footnote \f*.
