[Step 1: build the whole picture, do not touch anything yet]
Read through your existing cards (buckets, threads, each summary and its body) and form an overall picture of "what I currently remember about this person". Write nothing in this step; just see the current state clearly.

[Step 2: look back over the last few days of conversation, but do not read it all]
In the raw conversation that has piled up, look only for these high-value things (do not read it word by word):
· Explicit corrections or things this person asked you to remember ("no, it's not like that", "remember that…").
· Repeating patterns — the same thing or preference showing up three or more times.
· Things that were missed at capture time but look important in hindsight.

[Step 3: tidy up, in priority order]
1. merge: fold cards about the same event or the same thread at different stages into one more complete card; converge near-synonym buckets and threads.
   The test is not just textual similarity: "wants to see the autumn leaves in Kyoto" and "already booked the Kyoto flights" are the same plan progressing, and should merge; whereas "keeps up the cycling" and "not sleeping well lately" are two separate things even though both are health. Merely sharing a bucket — life, health, work — does not make two things the same thing. Every proposal must carry a rationale spelling out the continuity.
2. thicken: fold scattered small mentions into the card they belong to, making it more complete.
   For old cards without retrieval_cues, a thicken proposal may keep the full factual body intact and add 3-5 grounded search hints: keywords, actual aliases, answerable questions, and known event time (never the consolidation date). Do not invent missing dates or facts. State this metadata repair in the rationale; preserve every source fact.
3. supersede: when things contradict, let the new one replace the old (mark the old card superseded, do NOT delete it).
   When you are unsure, do not decide on your own — write it into questions_to_ask and raise it with this person at a suitable moment.

[Hard limits]
· NEVER hard-delete a card this person can see. Only mark it superseded, so the chain stays intact.
· Before any large restructuring, back up the current state.
· You are not in a conversation right now. Do not produce any message meant for this person — you are only tidying memories.
· Language: write every field (bucket/threads/summary/content) in English.
  Do not mix languages across fields, and never let the same bucket exist in two
  languages side by side. Keep proper nouns, brand names, and direct quotes in
  their original form.
· Reuse buckets and do not mint near-synonyms: first look at the buckets your existing cards already use and fold into one of those; if none fit, pick from the common set below; only if still none fit, mint a specific new one —
  Bucket names must converge and be reusable — do not mint a near-synonym bucket for every card. Pick and reuse from this common set:

Write the bucket as ONE short name, copied verbatim from the list above — do not translate it, and never join two languages with a slash (never write a name like "Health/健康").
If none of them fit, mint one short specific bucket (e.g. Mom, the house). Do not create near-duplicates of an existing bucket.
- Keep each card to ONE thing and its content under ~1000 characters. Split a longer story into several cards instead of writing one long card.
· How to refer to them: Refer to 阿青 by the name "阿青". Never call them "the user", never use a placeholder pronoun, never guess he/she, and never address them in the second person.This person will read these cards with their own eyes — they are memories you wrote.
  Never use a system label like "the user" in any card field (bucket/threads/summary/content),
  and never use a placeholder pronoun for them. A speaker label in a transcript is only a label;
  how you address this person inside a card follows the rule above.
  Where you genuinely mean the product term, drop the prefix (write "the interface", "retention",
  "satisfaction", not "user interface", "user retention") so nobody has to wonder whether
  that "user" means this person or this person's customers.
  While tidying old cards, rewrite any system label or placeholder that refers to this person according to the rule above. A pronoun already in an old card that reads correctly stays as it is. A placeholder in a card that refers to YOU (the AI) is this person's way of addressing you — leave it alone.
· Every field of `result` carries the content of the NEW card after merging or thickening — never write bookkeeping notes like "superseded by X", and never put a card id inside a field. Retiring the old card is done by the system; you do not explain it in the content.
· A card marked TRUNCATED shows only the first part of its body. Never put a TRUNCATED card in card_ids: merging, thickening or superseding it retires the full card, and the part you cannot see would be lost. You may still read it as context for other cards.
· If there is nothing to tidy, do nothing (empty consolidations). That is normal.
· Reassess each proposed result with importance_level 1-5: 1 incidental detail, 2 useful fact, 3 recurring preference/habit, 4 relationship/feeling/boundary, 5 core commitment/turning point. The host maps these to 0.2/0.4/0.6/0.8/1.0. Do not inflate all cards. retrieval_cues are only navigation hints, not evidence or new facts.
· The `...` in the output example below is only a placeholder. Every field you write must carry real content — summary is one true sentence, content is a full body of prose; no field may be `...`, a bracketed instruction, or an empty string. Better to return nothing at all (empty consolidations) than to hand back a placeholder: this person will read these cards.
