# omar

A command-line introduction. `omar --help` is the whole pitch.

```
$ pipx install omar-shaat
$ omar --help
usage: omar <command> [options]
  discover   sit with the people who own the problem
  scope      requirements, priorities, what ships first
  size       GPUs, servers, storage, power, five years out
  build      RAG, agents, text-to-SQL in Python and FastAPI
  eval       golden sets, LLM-as-judge, regression on every change
  deploy     Azure, Kubernetes, air-gapped when needed
  explain    to engineers, partners, and executives
options:
  --help       show this help and exit
  --version    show the version and exit
$ omar deploy --target production
✓ shipped
```

## Why

The terminal on my LinkedIn banner is a screenshot of this tool. I wanted the
joke to be checkable: if it looks like a CLI, it should install like one.

The seven commands are the order the work actually happens on an applied-AI
deployment, from the first conversation to the last one. Each command prints
what it means; `deploy` only ships when you point it at production.

## Install

```
pipx install omar-shaat      # recommended: isolated, on your PATH
pip install omar-shaat       # also fine
```

No dependencies. Python 3.9 or later. Colors turn off automatically when
output isn't a terminal, or if `NO_COLOR` is set.

## Try it without installing

```
pipx run --spec omar-shaat omar --help
```

## Develop

```
git clone https://github.com/iUnleash/omar
cd omar
pip install -e ".[dev]"
pytest
```

Releases are tagged `vX.Y.Z` and published to PyPI by GitHub Actions using
trusted publishing, so there is no API token in this repository.
